Hallie Kates-Calloway - November 3rd, 2011
Mr. Avery
Thank you for being that sound mind and image that we all saw at Palo Duro.  We did not always like it but you were in our corners and cheered us on at whatever endeavor we were a part of.  There will never be another man that was so proud to represent and mentor students to do the best and strive for the best.  My sisters and brothers all had the pleasure of performing under your leadership.  I know at times, you thought, how many more of them are coming, I could name a couple but I won't.  May God bless your family and we will always keep your memories in our hearts.  Graduating class of 1974.

When pain gets strong you can't think, you can't reason& sometimes you can't figure things out. Sometimes we are so engrossed in the pain that we don't get the point. You can have pain so bad that you stop smiling and you don't have your personality because your pain is stopping you from being who you are. Your purpose is not to get lost in the dark but to be a light to others. -Allen Ray Graves

To my brother I really missed you.  And I never will forget that you were trying to call me that Saturday when you passed away and I regret that I didn't return your call unitl the next day.  I love you very much but I know you are in a better place.  I'm still in shock about you passing away.   I still find myself wanting to pick up the phone to call you.
Hervey Bolden - January 31st, 2012
Datra Lamont, was my b-ro, we were as close as brothers. We talked every week about various things. One thing I miss is when b-ro would call me and tell me what happen on the front nine, (golf) who won the rabbit and who won the squirrel, then later I would hear about the other side, the back nine. Well Datra has played is front nine of life, and now has gone on to the back side, don't get it twisted the back nine is a better place and I encourge all to continue to run the race, like Datra did knowing that God loves you and that the victory is yours. Miss you my brother thanks for everything, even though I did not want the shoes I got them and I walk and play in them, in honor of you.
