Services were at 1 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2012 in New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church with Bishop James Mims officiating. Burial in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes St.

Mrs. Collins was born October 26, 1952, to James and Juanita Blount in Amarillo. She attended school through the Amarillo public school system and received her GED. She worked many jobs, the latest at Days Inn.

She married her longtime companion, James Collins, in 2006. She also attended New Covenant Missionary Baptist Chruch.

Survivors include her husband, James Collins; a daughter, Branda Blount-Foster and husband Robert of Amarillo; two sons, Eric and Tony Green of Amarillo; and four sisters, Vicki Blount, Tami Blount, Fayeral “Byrd” Blount and Qavis Blount, all of Amarillo.
