Clarence Eugene Cook, 64, of Amarillo died Friday, February 18, 2011, in Amarillo. Memorial services were at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011  in Emmanuel Church of God in Christ with the Rev. E.L. Demerson officiating.

Clarence Cook was born in Amarillo to Eugene and Anita Jones Cook in 1946. He attended public schools in Amarillo and was a graduate of Carver High School.


Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Kay Cook of Amarillo; five daughters, Ramona Oatman, Jascha, Babie Latonya, Maranda and Concetta Cook; seven sons, Clarence Jr., Coyous, George Eugene Cook, Don Ray, Willie Joe and Anotione Gentry and Jacob Martin; two sisters, Anastasia and Sabrina Cooks; two brothers, Eugene and Dwight Cooks; 32 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.


   I will reflect on the good times that we spent in OKC, and not the dark times when you returned to Amarillo. Friendship is at times difficult, in that we accept a person as they are and not as we want.Rest in peace.
