Vision Statement

 

The Carver Golden Dragon Association (CGDA) is a Community-based organization whose purpose is to serve persons in the urban areas in and around Amarillo. It is the vision of this body to develop leaders from a diverse, multi-cultural area through teaching, scholarship, and community service. It is the vision of this Association to be recognized for its Excellence in providing solutions to problems facing the under-served population in the Amarillo area.

 

Mission Statement

 

The Carver Golden Dragon Association (CGDA) is an independent organization whose exclusive humanitarian mission is to provide emotional, spiritual, and financial support to aid in preserving the Black Heritage of the Amarillo Community. We will achieve our mission by fostering strong children, building strong families and a strong community. This will be accomplished by people who have the skills and attitudes that enhance the human condition and promote a world that is peaceful, intellectual, technologically advanced and one that fulfill the needs of nations and individuals alike, this is an attainable goal. "Failure is not an option." We reinforce caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

This Association is united in its dedication to working as hard and as long as necessary in order to realize its vision of developing creative solutions to the problems facing underserved populations in Amarillo, the nation and the world.
