Amarillo was a terrific place to grow up. As an only child, my Mom and Dad's friends became my Aunts, God Parents, and Uncles. I still keep in touch with: ~Ika---best friends since the 2nd grade...bridesmaid in our 1987 wedding ~Mrs. Avery ~Mr. and Mrs. Martin ~Mr. and Mrs. Nickerson ~Mrs. Moore ~Courtney and Mrs. Allen who lovingly add flowers to my parents' graves. It was wonderful attending my home church, Jenkins Chapel, in August, 2012. How koo-ale to see the Mayberry's and other church family members. Smiles were LARGE when I saw my "stuff" (she knows what this means) and childhood running buddy, Chres.
