Mary Ann Stanley passed away on April 3, 2005. She was born to February 9, 1946 in Waco, Texas to Ruthie Mae Nichols and Rayshell Stanley in Waco, Texas. After attending elementary school in Waco, she moved to Amarillo where she graduated high school from Carver High School in 1964
After graduating high school, she moved to Dallas, Texas and had a daughter Shannon Stanley born August 10, 1969.
My mother was a person that was full of life, loved to travel to different places to play bingo and was helpful to her family when the time was needed. When she was given the news regarding her cancer, she chose to fight, and fight she did, to the very end.
She was preceded in death by her father: Rayshell Stanley; Dallas, Texas; a brother: R.C. Reed Jr., Waco, Texas. She leaves to honor her life her daughter Shannon Stanley; Arlington, Texas; grandson Michael Stanley; Arlington, Texas; sister Ruthella Reed; South Bend, Indiana; sister-in-law Celestine Reed, Amarillo, Texas; mother Ruthie Mae Nichols (passed away November 19, 2006), Amarillo, Texas; stepfather Sammie Nichols (passed away October 19, 2006), Amarillo, Texas; six brothers: Clarence Reed, Amarillo, Texas; Michael Stanley, Wayne Stanley, Dexter Stanley, Wenduell Stanley and Stacy Stanley all from Dallas, Texas. Also a host of uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
