Cleophus Nash, 56, of Amarillo died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012.



Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in St. John Baptist Church with the Rev. Anthony Harris, pastor, and the Rev. E.J. Cofer of New Birth Bible Fellowship officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St.



Cleophus was born May 9, 1956, in Amarillo to George Allen and Mattie Nash. He obtained his education through Amarillo Independent School District and Carver Junior High School. He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1974.



Cleophus had an entrepreneurial spirit as evidenced through his various business ventures. He was the owner of Nash Tire Co.



Survivors include his mother, Mattie McClendon; two daughters, Theoanna Nash and Corene Parker, both of Amarillo; a grandson, Anthony Parker of Amarillo; three brothers, Alder Ray Nash and wife Elaine P. of Atlanta, Ga., Jerrold Ray McClendon and wife Betty of Augusta, Ga., and John Ray Jr. of Sacramento, Calif; three sisters, Violine Riley and husband Willie, and Gwendolyn Morris and Estelle McClendon, all of Amarillo; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.



Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
