Harold Lee Thomas Sr., 66, of Amarillo died Friday, December 9, 2011.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2011 in St. John Baptist Church, 2301 N.W. 14th St., with the Rev. Harvey G. Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Harold was born June 24, 1945, in Brookston to the late Gladys Oages. He married Ocie L. Howard in 1965. He moved to Amarillo in 1953. Harold was employed for the city of Amarillo and later with BNSF Railroad before retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Ocie L. Thomas; two sons, Harold Thomas Jr. of Amarillo and Greg (Nisha) Thomas of Dallas; two daughters, Devoura Burks and Rashunda (Shaun) Ashley of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six sisters, Faye Bonner and Brenda Oages, both of Midwest City, Okla., Janice Holliman of Abilene, Deborah Brown, Phyllis Oages and Jackie Meander, all of Amarillo; and four brothers, Johnny Drizzle and Billy Oages, both of Amarillo, Kenneth Oages of Midwest City and Curtis Oages of Abilene.
