Services were at 1 p.m. Saturday June 21, 2008 in St. John Baptist Church with the Rev. Morris Mitchell and the Rev. Thomas E. Malone officiating. Burial in Llano Cemetery by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St.

Carrie was born Oct. 18, 1952, in Amarillo, to Charlie Malone and Augusta Phillips. She attended the public schools of Amarillo and was employed in the health care industry. She had recently moved to DeSoto.

She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Raymond C. Tropez; and two brothers, Billy and Charles Malone.

Survivors include five children, Ronda Hine of DeSoto, Rosco Flanagan of Navasota, Billy Malone and wife Caroline, Jonathan Flanagan and Ronald Tropez and wife Shadinka, all of Amarillo; her mother; two brothers, the Rev. Thomas E. Malone and wife Shirley of Hewitt and Ricky Malone and wife Vanessa of Amarillo; five sisters, Charlie Turner, Helen Malone, Linda Clark and Sandra Reasonover and husband Tommie, all of Amarillo, and Molly Bynum of Cameron; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
